Today is Wednesday which means only 3 days to go until race day!

The Porsche GT3 & Lamborghini Trofeo groups see their 1st time on the track today starting at 1145am.  Practice sessions continue throughout the day before qualifying & racing on Thursday.

Other activities today include FIA WEC Scrutineering which is comprised of 3 posts.  First, the cars pass over a horizontal platform that uses lasers to measure dimensions such as width, length, wheelbase, wing height, etc.  Vehicles are also weighed during this process.  Next, the cars are suspended in the air so track officials can take a look at thedimensions of the front & rear diffusers as well as the dimensions of the plank (the plank offers minimum ground clearance & aerodynamic safety).  The final inspection is under the body panels.  Officials look for the safety items required for racing...fire extinguishers, electronics, emergency shut offs, etc

While the cars are being inspected, drivers are also put through a process.  Helmets, suits, equipment & even their licenses are checked.  This is a great time for the fans to get autographs as many drivers are standing around with little to do until the entire process is completed.

The day ends with a track walk from 500pm-700pm.  Drivers, teams & media members use this time to get a feel for the upcoming race & also pose for photos along the world famous, 3.4mi track.
